I am so glad I was able to expierance this show, while it was here in Los Angeles. Even more so that I was able to see Lin-Manuel Miranda as Usnavi. The show had it all; laughter and tears. The story line, music and dancing was excellent. It was a true inspiration to my 12 year old daughter! I highly encourage all to see if you have the opportunity!

Just saw ITH at the Pantages. It blew me away! The dancing and choreography were supreme. The fusion of rap, Latin, and Broadway chorus sounds had me bopping in my seat. The acting was excellent. The vocals were incredible. The characters and plot-lines were engaging. Certainly every audience member found something in the play to which they could relate. For example, Usnavi and abuela reminded me of my grandmother, and I found myself bawling. Congrats to Lin-Manuel and the amazing cast!

Just saw the show in L.A. This show is amazing and Lin-Manuel Miranda is absolutely brilliant for creating it. The cast was great; it was entertaining; the music and the dancing was awesome; it was funny and sad. It had something for everyone. I laughed hysterically after finding out why is parents named him Usnavi. Also, growing up in the Bronx, I really identified with the story.
Great job!!
Great job!!

I just got back from seeing In The Heights for the second time, this time in LA at the Pantages. It was just as incredible this time as it was on Broadway. My family and I had a great time, and seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda reprise his role made the show for me. This is my favorite musical of all time, and I feel so lucky to have gotten to see it again. The whole cast is incredibly talented, and the show continues to engage audiences effortlessly.

I saw the show on 7/6/10. Took my mom, niece and nephew. It was a birthday present for my niece. It was the best b-day present I think I ever gave somebody. This show was filled with high energy from the the time the curtain opened till it closed. It brought me back to the days when I was growing up in the South Bronx. The music, the singing, the acting and the passion that was put forth on this show was amaing. It was a masterpiece put together. Tell you this much, I'm already making plans to watch it again. My mom, niece and nephew loved the show. My niece said that it inspired her to become an actress in the theatre buisness. I wish her good luck.
I recommend this play to everyone.
Good luck with the show..

I've seen In The Heights twice on tour. Once in Austin, Texas and once in San Francisco. They were both absolutely amazing! After seeing it, I went home immediately and bought the soundtrack and I listen to it every time I drive (which can often be dangerous since I get so into it)! I'm going to New York to see it on Broadway in a week and I'm so excited! Although Kyle Beltran did an amazing job, I'm sad that I barely missed Lin-Manuel Miranda on tour. Wish I could've seen his amazing talent and raw emotion in person. But hopefully Corbin Bleu will exceed my expectations of Broadway!

I'd been anxiously anticipating seeing this show for months. My mom was a little "Eh" about it, but I needed a companion so she went with me. Now, if a musical makes my mother laugh, cry, and want to sing along, then you know it's amazing. And it was SUCH a treat seeing the remarkable Lin-Manuel Miranda as Usnavi, along with the rest of the amazing cast. And all the amazing lighting and choreography is just beautiful. Thank you for coming to LA and gracing the Pantages Theatre with your presence and wonderful show. =] Love love love.

I'm just in from the preview at the Pantages and WOW! This is the best night of theater I've experienced in a very long time. Fresh, hip, funny and heartwarming. The cast is outstanding and Lin-Manuel Miranda is simply a revelation. Here's to a successful run!

I saw the show yesterday here in Tempe twice...amazing show. Fist seeing Lin-Manuel Miranda himself in the role and then being able to meet him, was a dream come true. It truly is an honor to see the Lation culture represented on stage. It opens many doors for many others and opens the eyes of many as well. I am happy to have seen this show and would now say, it is definately in the top 5 of my all time favorite shows. Lin-Manuel, you are amazing and such a humble and all together nice guy. I wish you all luck on the rest of the tour!!

Dear Cast and Crew,
Thank You for NOT cancelling your tour dates in Arizona. Although our lawmakers have made an embarrassing spectacle putting Arizona in a negative light, please know that Metropolitan and progressive cities such as Tempe and Phoenix DO NOT FEEL THIS WAY!!! We welcome you and love you. Thank You for your art and your story. I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday night.

I couldn't help it...I had to see the show twice here in SF! The cast is so talented, and I could feel their spirits pouring off the stage. What a treat to get to see a couple understudies go on, too! Y'all really moved my heart, as one who used to live in Washington Heights. Lin-Manuel Miranda has updated the classic musical with integrity and true artistry. Go see this show!

I fell in love with In The Heights before i saw the show. Finally I saw in NYC with Corbin Bleu as Usnavi and it blew my mind away. It made me cry, laugh, believe, and hope. This show opens your heart and mind to a world we all don't appreciate. In The Heights is more than just a musical its a story so true to its plot. It is by far my favorite musical. Lin-Manuel Miranda you've made my love for theater grow ten times more. The cast is astonishing and talented. Those who don't see this show are losing on an amazing experience.

Saw it today (the closing show). Absolutely amazing! The the set, characters, music and dancing created the most incredible mosaic. Everybody in our section were brought to tears from start to finish, by the emotion and shear power of it. We gave up trying to hide it and just handed tissues around.
Best musical I've seen in many years, possibly the best ever. I would definitely see it again!

Met several cast members tonight at a restaurant in Buffalo. I want to thank them for their graciousness. They were all very kind and represented ITH very well. It was great to hear how highly they spoke of Lin as well. So, just a check in from the road~the cast would make Mr. Miranda proud :)

Saw the show on 1/17/10 in Boston and again on 1/23/10. It was amazing!!!!! I wish Rogelio was on the soundtrack. His voice is golden! I'm def. going to see the traveling cast again as well as the Broadway show..ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! Kyle B. is also excellent as Usnavi...since this is the 1st version I saw, his voice resonates more for me with Usnavi than Lin's...I think it just speaks to how awesome the entire production is. Breathtaking!!!!! ITH is energizing for this Beantown LATINA!!!!

Went to Opening Night in Boston last night and my wife and I had an absolute blast. We heard about the show from friends and family who had seen the show on Broadway and it exceeded all our expectations. I knew the singing was going to be great, but we were really impressed by the dancing. There was so much buzz leaving the show-- everyone left in such upbeat moods. Not easy to do on a cold Tuesday night!
Boston MA Greg M. 01/13/2010
It was my first In the Heights experience and by the second song I was hooked. I loved the fact that I could relate to the characters!!
Loved the music and the dancing.
My favorite characters were Usnavi and Benny (Rogelio Douglas has a wonderful voice). I was however disappointed with the girl that played Vanessa (on the 1/10/10 performance). Other than that Loved, loved the show and I can't wait to share the experience with my husband on Broadway!!

I have been a fan of this amazing performance since the off-broadway days. I have seen the show a few times already and have since the transition of cast members. It amazes me that the show does not loose its essence throughout any of these changes. Ofcourse with the exception of the role of Vanessa who is played by YVETTE GONZALEZ-NACER. Yvette does an amazing job, but I am sorry to say that NATALIE CARUNCHO its not a believable Vanessa and does not measure up. Yvette, we need you back on stage! What happened on Saturday that you couldn't do finish the show?

I was really looking forward to seeing this play and was not disappointed. In The Heights has it all...singing, dancing, and the fact this story is based on everyday lives. My mom and I saw it this night and I was surprised to see her cry..truly an incredible performance by all...cant wait to head into the city to see it on Broadway!

Saw the cast on tour and I enjoyed it. I went with my mother who was born and raised in Brooklyn Ny and this was her first broadway musical. I went twice on broadway and the home cast in superior but this cast would have made them proud. Kyle did justice to the role of Usnavi,Arielle and Rogilio were Phenomenal. I can't wait for the movie! I hope it will be done just as well or better.

We absolutely loved this show! It was very new and innovative. The show was about life in the ghetto, but it was not at all depressing, it was upbeat and showed people enjoying their lives. The ending was happy and satisfying. The entire cast was excellent, but the guy who played Usnavi was above and beyond! The choreography and dancing were fabulous. The music was good, but not memorable. Some of the "music" was rap, which I do not like, but this was tolerable, since the rest of the show was so good.
Newington CT Joyce Kai 01/10/2010
The cast in the traveling show is great! The singing and dancing was as good or better than the broadway production. We thought Arielle played Nina's character even better than Mandy does. I know, hard to fathom!
